Immerse yourself in the rich world of Cuban rum with an exclusive 45-minute masterclass at Rhum Tavern, followed by an unforgettable Kuhaku Takeover.
Journey through the captivating heritage of Eminente, the premium Cuban rum brand created by César Martí – the youngest maestro ronero to earn the prestigious title of Primer Maestro del Ron Cubano. Discover the secrets behind this exceptional spirit, crafted with the highest proportion of aged aguardientes (Cuban molasses eaux-de-vie) of any Cuban rum and aged for a minimum of 7 years in ex-whisky oak barrels.
Part of the LVMH Moët Hennessy portfolio, Eminente embodies the renaissance of 19th-century Cuban rum-making traditions, blending old-world craftsmanship with contemporary sophistication. Sample a curated selection of Eminente expressions and explore the rich, complex flavours of smoky notes of coffee, chocolate, and almonds balanced with hints of vanilla, caramel, and tropical fruits that define this award-winning Cuban spirit.
Begin with a welcome Eminente daiquiri on arrival and discover the unique balance of flavours that sets this rum apart, shaped by Cuba's diverse sugarcane varieties and time-honored production methods.
After the masterclass, guests are invited to stay for the Kuhaku Bar Takeover, where the acclaimed Islington-based team will showcase Eminente’s versatility through a bespoke cocktail menu inspired by Japanese precision and seasonal craftsmanship. Expect signature serves crafted with in-house infusions, clarified ingredients, and delicate flavour layering that highlight Eminente’s depth and complexity — all set to the backdrop of live DJ sets carrying the energy into the night.

About the
Venue:
Rhum Tavern is a pirate-themed cocktail bar in Fitzrovia boasting
one of the largest rum collections in London with over 400
expressions. Styled in the form of a 17th-century ship's hull from
the golden age of piracy, the immersive space features
floor-to-ceiling timber interiors, a resin bar cast with gold
doubloons, flickering candlelight, and custom glassware including
hollowed-out skulls.
About
Eminente:
Eminente was conceived by César Martí, who holds the highest
distinction among Cuban rum masters. Each expression is the result
of a meticulous blend of aguardientes aged for 7 to 10 years,
creating a captivating intensity and extended aromatic palette. The
"cubanito" method involves blending several eaux-de-vie from the
best barrels and aging them in oak barrels that previously housed
bourbon or whiskey, conferring unique aromatic complexity.
About Kuhaku:
Kuhaku is a contemporary Japanese-inspired cocktail bar located in Islington, known for its minimalist elegance and precision-led approach to mixology. The team combines Japanese bartending techniques with a modern aesthetic, using seasonal ingredients, in-house ferments, and refined craftsmanship to create cocktails that are both artful and deeply expressive.
